March 2025 Trip to Jordan and Greece

Restoring Faith Inc. had a fruitful trip this March 2025! Our team, which consisted of Phillip, Joanne, Juliana and myself (Christian) were clearly unified in our mission. The first group of refugees we visited was in Amman, Jordan. Along with our field worker, Fahad, we had the privilege to visit Syrian, Iraqi and Sudanese refugee families and distribute food vouchers to them. We were able to update each family's situations, assess their current needs and pray with them.

A highlight from Amman was when we visited the Sudanese International Church where there was a sermon (in English!) about Paul and Lydia in Acts 17, where Lydia’s conversion is a catalyst for the gospel to be taken to Thyatira. This message very much encouraged and reinforced us in our mission, especially with difficulties and trials we faced while traveling.

In the region of Aqaba, Jordan, we were able to partner up with one of our field workers, Haneen, to distribute food bags to several families in the poorest conditions. We also helped put together 200 to-go packages of food for other families in need.

Our next destination to service refugees was in Athens, Greece! We met up with our field worker, Wycliffe to serve the refugee families we have acquired there. Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet many new refugee families and make new connections with other groups carrying out the same mission of serving persecuted refugees. An exciting element to the mission was God’s favor in teaming up with our friends, the Coffmans (who serve in South Africa) and coincidentally were in Athens at the same time. What a treat it was to be able to work side by side as the Body of Christ.

Highlights from Greece included our new collaboration with three organizations that serve refugees in Athens. First, we met Howard and Yochana who have a special ministry to the persecuted and have been servicing refugees in Athens since 2016. Second, we teamed up with Rosemary, a sister from Kenya and visited her distribution center for refugees in the city. There we met and participated in helping several refugee families and listened to their heartbreaking stories. Third, we teamed up with Fred and Kelly from the U.S., who have a center that includes church services for Afghan and Iranian refugees that we also distributed food vouchers to. These three connections were truly an answer to prayer and a door that God opened for us to expand the ministry of Restoring Faith Inc. to persecuted refugee families globally.

The divine appointments that God set up were truly miraculous. His hand was definitely apparent in each and every one of our endeavors despite how the enemy attempts to attack while serving, especially in that region. It goes to show how the unification of the Body of Christ truly matters while taking action for the Lord’s Kingdom work.

We are so blessed and thankful to have been able to give emergency aid to many during this March 2025 trip and are looking forward to more of what God has in store for Restoring Faith Inc. this upcoming year!
